Victoria is ablaze yet again.

We have now had six days over 40 degrees Celsius and the state is just tinder box dry.  Add that heat to the very dry winds we have had and it has caused many fires around the State.  Quite a few homes have gone up, which is so sad.

In the  Gully we are fine, but today the smoke from other areas that are not ok can be smelt quite strongly.   Hopefully the weather will begin to cool down and the fire threat abate.
Everything is crisp in our garden.  The grass has died off completely and even the olive tree is struggling. The leaves of the Monstera have got badly burnt as they really like shade, which is not available at the moment.  It will come back though - it is surprisingly tough.

This hill is not very visible due to the smoke.
