Today we left Madrid for Valencia. First stop was at Cuenca where we had a coffee break at an old Dominican monastery which is now a hotel. It overlooks a very deep gorge which has houses built right on the edge, seemingly hanging over the gorge. I walked across the bridge to take photos.
On to Seville where we were given time for a walk around the city centre and lunch. It was really hot and the city was not at all crowded. Before being taken to our hotel we had a drive around the city looking at various sites of interest - old city gates, bullring and various others.
We are now relaxing in the hotel and thinking about going out to find some where for dinner. It is 18:30 here and on TV is Australia playing Germany at Soccer - I assume it is live somewhere in Europe, Germany is winning 3-2.
