The reason was two fold - first off the car does not take both our cases as it has a woeful boot, and second, we did not know where the actual drop off spot was. The whole area is so tight (speed limit is 20 miles an hour all around it) and so badly signposted that it is very frustrating.
We managed, after parking in the Avis spot despite not having an Avis car - we were told where to go then - nicely though :-) Then we braved the DLR and the underground - which was ok, and we duly arrived back at the underground nearest to Beehive Lane.
Tomorrow Andy will drop us back to City Airport and we leave the UK. Next week here will be the referendum on whether England should go or stay in the EU. We have been asking everyone what they thought and get the impression that it might be close. At the moment, polls here are tipping it might be a leave vote.
