Olympic Park

Our trip around England by car is done and we are back in Ilford. The weather changed as we drove up from Chichester with rain setting in. Later we went along with Andy to pick Pat up from work and then went straight to the carvery at The Moby Dick to await the rest of the family who were joining us for dinner. It was a lovely evening, chatting with Pat's boys and their families. The youngsters are all doing well at school, with  Courtney in the middle of ten GCSE's.

The next day was Pat's day off work and we decided to go to Olympic Park, site of the 2012 London Olympics.  We had a pleasant lunch at the foot of 'the corkscrew' and then had a walk along the River Lea.  The stadium was being altered in some way as West Ham will be using the stadium as their home ground.  I was glad Andy did the driving as it is really difficult to navigate around these roads because we are so near London here.
