England

We have spent the first few days with Andy and Pat. They were waiting at Heathrow to meet us and whisked us back to their new home in Ilford.  We are staying in the comfortable  guest room in their complex.

The weather has been nice and yesterday while Robin and Andy had their nana nap, and Pat was at work, I went out to explore the area.  Walking down the busy high street of Gants Hill I discovered Valentine Park.  It was lovely walking through the park in the sun.

We had a planned to eat over at the Harvester on the Monday night but it became obvious in the afternoon that Robin was ill so instead we spent the evenings  at A & E!  It was pretty late when we returned home and Robin started on the antibiotics he needed to sort him out. We will stay here another few days instead of going on to St Lawrence.

Margy and Brian came over as we could not go over to them and we had a nice day with them.  Andy took us over to pick up the hire car and I drove it back through the horrendous roads, roundabouts and flyovers in this part of the world....

Robin seems to be on the mend and we will pop over to see Margy and Brian at their place on Thursday when we should be able to set off ok.
