Drouin Ficifolia Festival

This year I went to the Drouin Ficifolia Festival Parade.  It was rather nice, very much a local event with local clubs, schools and other groups taking part. Drouin has a lot of flowering gum trees along the streets and they look really spectacular when in bloom.  The parade is held just at the end of the flowering season.

We waited for the parade to begin by the roundabout.  Nick had a shift at McDonald's but it was at the new Drouin store so he walked up to join us when he was finished.

Waiting for the parade to start

Nick finished his shift at Macca's just in time to join us

Even the Queen turned up.

After the parade Michael was able to show us his new toy - a drone that he got for christmas.
It flies really well, but takes a bit of controlling.

Ready to take off
It flew over my car - good job I trust Michael.
