Melbourne White Nigh

I went into Melbourne White Night with Audrey and Judy.  It was a good evening, with a lot of people around.  It was especially nice as the trams were stopped from running in Swanston Street so there was plenty of space, even though there were a lot of people.
It was still light when we got to the city.
The Golden Monkey was climbing up the Town Hall

We had planned to go into the library to see the laser show on the
inside of the dome. but the size of the queue put us off. While we were
standing there the laser show started on the columns.
The laser show against the Art Gallery was was just stunning.
It depicted the growth of Melbourne, from the day the first ship sailed into the bay.

Southbank was very busy too.  By the time it had got this dark we had had enough
of walking and caught the train home.  Not sure how those that stayed
till the morning managed that - but they are younger than us!
