Berwick Botanic Park

Jenny and I took a walk around the Botanic Park at Berwick.  This is a really lovely park, with several lakes as it is built in the remnants of a very large quarry.  We had a nice walk around, looked at the birds from the hide, and took the steps to the lookout, from where we had a great view of the suburbs towards the city.

From there we drove over to Kate and Trent's for afternoon tea.

We avoided going off the paths!

The view from the top of the lookout.  We do not know the area well enough to know what we were looking at.
We know we are looking towards the city and think that the slight rise to the right is possibly Churchill National Park,
 Pretty flat eh!

A nice little summer house in amongst specimen trees.
The flowering gums are out

This turtle was checking us out

Around the lake were loungers - Jen was ready to settle for the afternoon.
