New Islamic Museum

Judy and I took a trip to the Islamic Museum of Australia which has just opened.
The new museum is a very unprepossessing building on the dark side of Melbourne.

For those who don't live here - the dark side is the one on the other side of the Yarra.

Once inside the building though,  it is beautifully set up.  We spent several hours walking
through it. Well worth a visit.

This is the rather drab frontage.  However, when walking inside the screen to the
entrance, there is an amazing effect of dappled lighting.
