Australia does not have many TV programs of its own but the Miss Fisher books by Kerry Greenwood, have been made into a TV series and it is really good. Set in Melbourne in the period after the First World War, it is very entertaining and enjoyable to watch. The music and clothes all add to the pleasure of watching it. The clothes worn in the series are on display at Rippon Lea at the moment.
Rippon Lea was built in around 1870 and set in beautiful gardens. It now belongs to the national trust. Judy and I spent several enjoyable hours there today, looking at the dressed and walking through the extensive gardens.
