Really nice family day on Sunday. We all went along to Warragul to take part in the annual MND walk. The weather was fantastic - first day of summer and it was in the low 30's - just right.
Afterwards we all headed back to Jenny and Michael's, by various routes. Trent took Sam and Nick to get a Christmas tree - Jenny always likes to have a real one. Michael and I went to Bunnings to get some new Christmas lights for our tree in the front garden. He has put in a solar panel for me, specifically for the lights at Christmas, but it runs a security light for the rest of the year.
All the others stayed back to help load the cars with the 'stuff' from the walk. The Camry is loaded up with boxes to go back to Canterbury in the week.
Once we had all arrived back at the house, Trent was presented with his birthday cake - Tuesday is the big day.
Sam and Nick, with Jenny's help had made it for him. For those who don't know, Trent works in the Dairy feed industry - hence the cow. I loved the udders - sweet milk bottles.
The kids then got into the job of decorating the tree. Going through the box of decorations was great fun for all - brought back many memories of how the decorations got to be there - kinder, school, etc.
Certainly beginning to look, and feel like Christmas.
