Had two busy days this weekend. Saturday saw Jenny and I at a cooking demo for Christmas. We learnt how to make and put together a Chocolate Croquembouche and also how to make a Buche de Noel. It was a nice afternoon as after the demonstration we spent time walking around the grounds of the Cheese Factory where it was held. Lovely gardens.
Sunday saw me with my friends at a screening of Othello, from the National Theatre in London. It was really good, and we all enjoyed it. The Nova in Carlton, where we saw the movie, also brings Opera from the Met in New York. It is such a good way of seeing this sort of stuff, without the expense.
While in England, my friends in Nottingham took me to see Torandot, which was being screened in Nottingham just a few days after the actual show. That was fantastic.
Of course, we here in Australia have to wait a bit longer.
