Coolgardie

As a GPS  would say "In 1,132 Ks - turn right"......
Yesterday we drove as far as Cocklebiddy in Western Australia.  Along the way we had a brief look at the Bight near Bordertown and also stopped off at Eucla for a break.
Down at the Bight, looking towards Bordertown

We saw a pair of Wedgetails lazily flying around

As we had plenty of time (we had not taken the time difference between SA and WA into account!) we drove down to the old Telegraph Station.
We have stopped here quite a few times and find it fascinating each time.  Last time we thought the ruins were winning – now the sand dunes seem to have the upper hand.

Today we had a really fast drive and arrived in Coolgardie very early.  We took a walk through the town and felt that it had certainly seen better days.  There is a lot of history here but not much else. Tomorrow we arrive in Perth.
