We drove up from Coolgardie on Friday, arriving at Two Rocks around mid afternoon. Even though we bypassed the city the traffic was really horrendous once we got on the outskirts of Perth. Not helped much by the road works that are being carried out to improve the flow! Perth has got somewhat larger since the last time we were here. The Bed and Breakfast is very comfortable. Our room has a balcony with a sea view – just. Between us and the Indian Ocean is a large expanse of foreshore.
Emma had rung us while we driving towards Perth and we arranged to go over to them for fish and chips that evening which we did. Dave and Emma’s house is really lovely, very spacious and light. We met Owen and little Rhiannon for the first time, they are both very cute.
This morning we had a lie in and after a leisurely breakfast drove into Two Rocks to check out the place. It is really hot here still; low 30’s and we are not really used to it yet. This afternoon we will be meeting up with the rest of the family for a BBQ at Emma’s.
At the moment we are just relaxing at the B&B – and doing some washing... might be on holiday but it still has to be done!

Hi Heidi and Robin,
I am not surprised you saw big changes in Perth. The development there, like all the big cities in Oz,is amazing. Good you are enjoying some hot weather, better than the colder weather we are getting here in FTG at present. Two Rocks looks interesting! Glad you are enjoying a catch-up with the family. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Love Pat X
