Ceduna

Yesterday we drove over to Adelaide on the start of our holiday in Perth.  It was an easy drive - once we left the rush hour of Melbourne behind.  We arrived in Adelaide in the evening rush hour which is nothing like that of Melbourne.  But it was a bit tricky navigating the lanes to make sure we arrived at our hotel OK.

It must be ten years since we did this drive and we found that Adelaide had changed somewhat. The road was divided highway until Port Wakefield and then it was pretty good to Port Augusta as there were plenty of overtaking lanes.  Once past Port Augusta it had not changed. The road is just two lanes and so we occasionally got stuck behind a truck. But we arrived in Ceduna early enough to have a walk down to the sea front.

You know you are in the outback when the local Shell has a special area for Road Trains.
