Ten of us sat down to Christmas lunch - the traditional Turkey, Pork and trimmings. We deferred desserts until much later. Kate built a meringue Croquembouche with the help of Samantha and Jaimi.
She had made the meringues earlier and she and the girls put it together with melted white chocolate. Even the cone was edible - that was rocky road. Sam had made a very nice gingerbread house - from scratch - very yummy.
Jenny had made her specialty of shortbreads and I made the usual pav, so it was quite some time before we left the table the second time. Oh, and did I mention the cheese plate too. Needless to say, dinner was skipped.
