Michael and I had plans to go to the tennis on Saturday and I went to get tickets from Knox but their system was down, which was lucky for the very next day Michael rang saying he had been offered tickets for Rod Laver Arena. As Samantha wanted to go too, he managed to get four tickets, which meant there was a spare. Mary came along to to make up the foursome which was nice. It was a fantastic day. We saw three matches, the most memorable one being between Roger Federer and Janko Tipsarevic. It went on for over four hours and threw the rest of the timetable out of the window. The 'evening' matches ended at four o'clock in the morning! A very long day at the Australian Open. Our tickets were for the day session so we were not there until that time, which was good as Mary was returning to Bairnsdale. As it was, our match did not finish until after nine o'clock anyway.
