France

We have been in France for a few days now and taking it easy after our busy coach trip.  Here the weather here is very hot.  We met up with the rest of the family, going first to Montelimar to meet up with Clo. She proudly showed me the poster from Nicolas’s attempt at getting into politics at the elections held a few weeks ago. He did not get in.

From there we went over to Laurence’s where she and the boys were all in the pool. Axel was staying with his cousins and enjoying the pool too.

That evening we all had dinner together at the  nearby golf club. Nicolas met us there - his irreverent nephews teased him with his election result - calling him Mr. Four percent. He took it with good nature.

Yesterday Gerard and Michele took us for a day out to see some newly discovered rock paintings the rival the  Lascaux paintings.  They really were incredible. Photography was not allowed in the cave, which was a mock up of the original as it is not possible to go into the original - La Caverne du Point d’Arc.

We returned via the gorges of the Ardeche - a lovely drive.
