Today we visited the Hermitage Amsterdam to see the current exhibition - 1917 Romanovs & Revolution. Having spent a week in Amsterdam last year we knew our way about so just went straight to the museum after a very leisurely breakfast.
It was an excellent exhibition, very well put together. There was an amazing painting of the wedding of Nicholas and Alexandra - it just shone with the gold paint on it.
Like last year, we again had lunch afterwards in the very nice cafe at the museum. The rest of the day we just relaxed at the hotel, sitting on the terrace watching the boats etc on the waterway. The weather here is great - mid 20's.
