Second visit to Melton Botanical Garden

At the beginning of the year Jen and went over to the gardens but found them very much a work in progress.  On our way to Ballarat to visit with Didee we stopped off to see how the work was progressing and we were mildly surprised.  It  was looking really good.  Must have another look at it this time next year.

On our return from Ballarat we came off the highway again around Baccus Marsh as there was a site of various chapels built on a hillside. We had visited once before but quite some years ago.  It s more of less how we remembered it. This site does not appear to have changed.

We are not sure who funds it, maybe an arm of the catholic church, or when it is used, but we found it interesting. It is possible to drive around the small chapels built on the unmade road winding over the site.
