The street looked really nice again this year. So many houses had put out decorations - there were very few unlit gardens.
It was nice watching people walk up the street with children. The Santa that Kate had made years ago was a big hit this year - we could hear the littlies excitement. Robin had put Santa in exactly the right place and he was lit up by the headlights of the cars as they went up the road.
Over the time the lights are on we leave the blinds up to watch all the people walk by. This year there were literally hundreds walking up the street because it was so hot.
We went up in style this year. The couple next door have purchased an old Plymouth - in beautiful condition and they took us for a drive up the street and round the back streets to see the lights.
The lights above are not ours, but further up the road. Our lights are more subdued - the large tree in front is lit, plus the fence down from Santa and across the front of the house. We had note in the letter box thanking us for our lights, so I think they look pretty good.

| Santa is a bit difficult to photograph at night, but here he is in the daytime |
