Dr Who

Yesterday Grandma, Robin, Kate and I went to the Dr Who Symphonic Spectacular at the Convention Centre.  It was a sell-out and a great atmosphere.  But then all 5,500 of us are Dr Who fans from way back so we had something in common.

The music played was from the last two series - but at the end the orchestra did play the original theme and after that there was a standing ovation.  Not something Australian audiences do that often...
One of the pieces was a collage of all the doctors and they all got a cheer, but the one that got the largest cheer was David Tennant.

Many of the aliens walked through the theatre throughout the show.  Amongst them The Daleks, Silurians, The Ood, The Silence and of course the Cybermen, guarding the exits.

It was a really enjoyable show and we are lucky that it was held in here - Sydney and the other cities - too bad you will not be able to see it.

That Dalek looks a bit bright - I'm sure they weren't yellow back in the day!
