Maryborough

We drove over to Maryborough to visit with Andrew and Lisa.  First we met Andrew and the girls at the Farmers Market in Talbot, which is always interesting.

Lisa joined us for lunch at the Maryborough Railway Station, which has had a bit of a make over since the trains have recommenced to Melbourne.  The station has always been reasonable well maintained, even though the service had been stopped.  It is actually a very grand station for a small country town.  When Mark Twain visited in the 1890's he described it as 'a railway station with a town attached'

Before Lisa came the girls had a play on the new playground provided - that is pretty large too.   Lunch was really nice - I do love places that do all day breakfasts - and the bacon was really nice and smoky.  Thanks for lunch Andrew and Lisa.  We skipped dinner when we got home - still satisfied from lunchtime.
