Athens

All day yesterday we sailed from Split, down the Adriatic, into the Ionian and are now docked at the Athens port of Piraeus  The weather is just beautiful. Robin and I had decided not to go on any of the tours as we had been here a few years ago so there was nothing really new for us. Also  I was a bit undecided as to whether we should go into the city as they have been having problems lately.  Apparently today the taxi drivers are on strike so those people who had not booked any tours are facing a twenty minute walk to the metro and then the train trip into the city.
