Adelaide's Birthday

Robin, Kate and I went along to Adelaide's eighth birthday party at the Tangled Maze.  We arrived too late to join them in the maze but saw them all playing crazy golf and generally enjoying themselves.  The maze is part of a nursery complex and has a beautiful setting.  It must be quite high as we had great views over the countryside.   When we got there it was rather windy and as a result, a bit cool.  Once the sun came out and the wind dropped it warmed up somewhat.

Eloise had the hang of getting the ball into the hole, even though she held the stick like a croquet stick - a game which she plays at home.



The wind came back again when it was time for the birthday cake so some of Adelaide's friends took it upon themselves to shield the candle to stop it from blowing out before Adelaide could blow it out herself.
