Today we left Stifford Clays and took Euro Star from Ebbsfleet to Paris. We allowed plenty of time and after dropping the car, clearing security and immigration we had an hour to wait before the train left. It seems a really good way to go over to the Continent. Maybe next time we come we can have a day trip to Brussels – not possible today as the Belgians were on strike so no trains were running to Belgium!
We found our hotel easily as we had been there before and then went the short distance to Père-Lachaise Cemetery, simply because we had never been there before. On the way in we purchased a guide to all the famous people who are buried there and realized that we did not know whose grave we wanted to see. Robin decided that Chopin would be a good one to look for and after that I though that Edith Piaf’s would be interesting. After seeing them the cemetery was on the point of closing and we were asked to leave.
We had a fantastic evening meal in a Bistro just on the Republic (which is where our hotel is) and are now back at the hotel. I will pop onto the Internet to post this and maybe pickup some emails – though no-one seems to be writing to me…

Hey Heidi, You do find some interesting places to take photographs. The Père-Lachaise cemetery is one such place. There must have been some spectacular monuments to the many famous people laid to rest in that cemetery. It is now nearly time to start heading for home. You have certainly been and seen plenty of interesting places and sights.
