Thursday Robin Grandma and I had a drive over to Eildon to see how much water there was (or was not) in the reservoir. It was a really nice drive over the Black Spur, the tree ferns are looking lovely and there does not appear to be any sign of drought there. However, Eildon is another case. We went to the Dam wall and found that since our last trip the water is even lower. Now there is a slipway for boats built well below the wall. We could see the line of the old wall as it is marked by floats. There were quite a few people jet and water skiing and we could see a houseboat further out. The old level of water can be seen clearly on the banks - wonder if it will ever return to those level? At least this end had water, we know that the Bonnie Doon end is a paddock!
