We were up early for a sunday. Katy was due to fly to San Franciso at mid-day. We left the house at about 8 a.m. and got there in plenty of time.

As she was queing at check-in, Emma and Tanya arrived, then just after she had completed check-in, Lisa, Scott and Ryan came too. She said her goodbyes to everyone and went through the big silver doors with only a few tears.

Emma is flying out to meet her in New York at the end of the month, and will be there for her birthday. With any luck she wil also meet up with big brother Andrew, who will be going to New York on business. Another friend, Anna will be there too.
