Williamstown

Audrey suggested we have a day out, taking the ferry from Southgate down the Yarra to Willamstown.   It proved to be a good choice for an outing.  We had a great time.

Waiting for the boat we got chatting to some nice German tourist, then getting on the boat Judy managed to drop the ticket (only one for the four of us) but no worries, said the boat men, we will remember you four and let you on the 3:30 return trip.

It was an hour trip to Williamstown where we walked along looking at the many fish and chipperies, restaurants etc before finding one that we all deemed suitable for lunch. I went for the one that served my favourite - mussels,  and the others had fish and chips.

After our leisurely lunch we ambled back, caught up with the German tourists again and we were allowed to board the return boat, sans ticket. It was a very pleasurable day.

We thought that this boat was hosting a party of some sort, maybe a wedding?
