Silo Art Trail day two

Today we saw the rest of the silos. We drove to the most northern point and came back down from there as the silos are either on the Henty Highway or  just off it.  It did not quite work out like that though as we went through the town that was second from the top so that was our first one of the day.

It took most of the day as Patchewollack is 162 kilometres up from Donald.  We returned again through Minyip, famous as the place where the TV series flying doctors was filmed.  That was a long time ago but the town won't let go of that - coming in from the north we passed a really big sign so that we don't forget its fame.

Being early Saturday evening , the only thing open was the local IGA so we stopped off there and got some snacks for the evening.

Back at the motel we just relaxed, having had a full day driving.  I had a short walk around the motel, onto the island in the river at the back and then back through the town. Donald is a very quiet place.

New Years eve we dove back to Ferntree Gully via Maryborough, popping in to say hello to Andrew, Lisa, Adelaide and Eloise.  We had a nice visit with them - they took the time to stop from their major project of painting the living areas of the house. That is such a huge job...
