In the afternoon, Gerard and Michele took us over to a nearby town, Crest, which has the tallest castle keep in France.
The castle and town walls are all gone, but the keep tower remains and some years ago, we all climbed to the top. But today we ambled through the town, looking at the shops. Some of the streets are unbelievably narrow - and dark, even on a bright sunlit day.
The towers, visible behind the buildings had the French flag draped on it.
Leaving Crest we stopped off to say hello to Leo and Yannick. Leo was very keen to have Robin play football with him.
Nicolas joined us for dinner, which was nice. We all chatted until quite late. So that just about brings me up todate. Now I just need to get everything back into my suitcase and I will be all set for the off in the morning. It has been lovely being here but all good things must come to an end, and tomorrow we head for home.
