Puerto Chiapas

Today was our third and last port in Mexico. Our tour today was Chiapas through the ages. First stop was at Tapachula, at the base of the Guatemalan highlands. A busy, interesting town. Then we went on to see our first Mayan site at Izapa. This site is where the Mayan Calendar was devised. And no, the world is not going to end on 21/12/2012! It is just the start of a new era.
