Anzac Day is a big sporting day here. We went into the city with Kate to the Storm match against the Warriers.
As the traditional Anzac Day match between Collingwood and Essendon was on at the MCG parking was a bit tricky. Kate managed to find a spot in Richmond and we walked towards AAMI Park (the rectangular stadium) against the tide of the spectators coming away from the MCG - all 93, 000 of them, I think!
Prior to the start of the match there was a moving ceremony to honour the Anzacs and then the two teams did battle. Storm won, making it their 8th win in a row - they have not yet lost this season. The attendance at this match was pretty good too - 20, 000.
