Nottingham and Bedford

The last few days we have been in the Midlands.  First we drove up to Nottingham to stay with friends overnight.  The weather could not have been better.  John and Jean took us to where we used to live to see a nature reserve that had been set up there. Our address was actual Chilwell but we were more or less in Attenborough, which is on the Trent.  When we lived there we did use to walk with the kids along the river, next to the old gravel pits - which have now been turned into a fantastic nature reserve, complete with a large visitor centre. 

After saying goodbye to John and Jean we returned south, stopping off at Bedford for the night to have dinner with Shirley and Jack.
