London

Monday we met up with Mary and Brian and for afternoon tea at the Ritz. It was really special - and not at all stuffy. The hotel is really something - well, the foyer and where we had afternoon tea was- we did not see much more of it than that. The food was lovely - the sandwiches were just how I liked them - no gunk! We all ate up big as when a plate was empty a waiter would come around and offer more.

We then walked off all that good food by footing it along the Embankment to the Globe Theatre. I measured it roughly on Google Earth - must have been over 5 kilometres. The play we saw was As You Like It and we all enjoyed it very much. The theatre is quite small and had a very nice atmosphere about it.

It was a really lovely day and we were lucky weather wise too. Thanks for a nice day Mary and Brian.
