At a very high waterfall the train stopped and we could all get off to view the falls. Can you spot the Siren? We could hear her singing when we got of the train.

In the picture above the engine is about to enter into one of the twenty tunnels on the track.

Sunday we had a great trip - coach to Gudvangen for the boat cruise to Flam, then the train trip up the mountain on impossible curves to Myrdal and train back to Voss. It was raining but we managed to avoid getting wet. The coach went down a really narrow steep road into the Stalheim Gorge. The road had only been opened the day before as there had been a landslide which closed it for four days!
Then onto the boat for a two hour cruise along the Fjord to Flam. At Flam we spent quite some time in the train museum - how the railway was built here was just amazing. There were a lot of cyclist here as apparently the construction road of the railway is now a cycle/walk track and is very popular. It takes about four hours to walk down - not even thinking about how long it would take to walk up. There is twenty miles of train track and the rise is from sea level to 2,800 feet.
