Day 2 in Mildura

Robin and I drove across the river into NSW and had a look at Orange World - a very quick look - and then drove on to the Australian Inland Botanic Garden. We found that much more interesting. The garden has a rose garden (which we did not bother with) and a very large native area where we followed the nature trail. There were a large number of birds flitting around too and back at the car park we saw five or six parrots having a bit of a chase around. Robin thought they were Regent Parrots.
Next stop was Wentworth for the meeting of the Murray and the Darling rivers. Here we did very well as we spotted several Black Kites swooping down to get food from the river. Robin took a great photo with his A610 - did I really need a new camera?
Then we went to Lock#11 but it was closed for maintenance - what if you want to get upstream on a boat? Obviously you were out of luck! After the lock we went to have a look at the old Wentworth Gaol and then onto the Perry Sand Dunes. I tried walking up a dune but gave up.
