Grandma's birthday today - 84. I think she had a nice day. Her friend Pat invited us to lunch at the Middle and once there an old friend Glynis arrived, just coincidentally. Glynis knew that Grandma does frequent the Middle to play the pokies and thought she might be there as it was a Friday. It is difficult to know what to give old people for presents but Grandma did pretty well, getting a nice patchwork wall hanging from Jen, a voucher from Kate, marzipan from Robin and I gave her perfume. Pat treated her (and me) to lunch and she also received a parcel from another old friend Pam. All in all I think she had a nice day. She must have done - she was still out when I came home from work!
