We have had visitors this week from England so have been showing them the sights. It is amazing how much can be covered in a week. The first two days were local - MCG and the city, Yarra Valley and Healsville Sanctuary. After that it was off to Philip Island to see the penguins and koalas. We went the pretty way, via Drouin. Wednesday we drove from Philip Island to Apollo Bay ready for the Great Ocean Road the next day. The Twelve Apostles were a surprise - it now has a large visitor centre with formal parking and an underpass leading to the points of interest on the coast. My favourite has to be Loch Ard Gorge. From here we continued on to Port Campbell for a short break before heading inland to Maryborough and then home again.
Friday we had a look at the Dandenongs and Saturday Mary and Brian went into the city on their own by train. They phoned from Ringwood on their return so Robin went to the station at FTG to pick them up only to find they were not on the train. They had got on a Lilydale train so he nipped over to Croydon to pick them up. We are not letting them out again alone :-)
Today we dropped them back to Tulla for their flight up to Cairns where they can have a relax after their run around Victoria. It was really lovely having them to stay with us and we hope they enjoyed their time here as much as we did.
At the moment I am unable to add up any photos due to problems with Blogger. They are working on it so once it is fixed I will add a photo or two. Until then there are some photos on SmugMug http://heidil.smugmug.com/
