Nick had a family party on Sunday for his ninth birthday. Jenny had made him a cake, Kate finished it off by icing part of the score of Happy Birthday on it with white chocolate. Nick was impressed but then amazed us all by going off into a long technical explanation of what Kate had not got quite right on one of the notes! Not being able to read music he lost me altogether! As someone pointed out, Katy must have written it pretty well for him to pick up such a minor mistake.
