Sam and Nick had tickets for the water slide so I took them down there in Thursday. Kate was on holiday and Sam was very keen for her to come to, so with a bit of persuasion from the kids she did. After a couple of goes on the water slide we went into the pool, where the kids managed to get me much wetter than I normally get while swimming!
Next day was Australia Day. Kate and I went into the city to see the Duck Race. While waiting for the big event, we watched the raising of the flag at the Town Hall. It was good to see so many people in the city celebrating Australia Day. None of our ducks won the race - we can only hope that they did not disgrace us and come last!
